Each goal has an accepted loudness range and a strict true-peak ceiling. Only the Streaming profile is based on a platform’s own published guidance; the others are Beathex engineering profiles.

Questions

Is my song uploaded to Beathex?

No. Your browser reads, analyses and masters the file on your own device, and the master is created there too. The audio is never sent to Beathex servers.

What does the mastering actually do?

It measures your track first, then sets its loudness for the goal you choose and controls true peaks with a look-ahead limiter — only as much as needed. If your track is already on target, it is left untouched and the result page says so.

Does it change my EQ, dynamics or stereo width?

Only when your track needs it, and only gently: EQ by at most ±2 dB, compression by at most 3 dB for loud goals with wide dynamics, and mono-safe bass for party and club goals. Stereo width is never added. Each step can be switched off, and the result page says exactly what was applied or bypassed.

Will my 24-bit file become 16-bit?

No. The master keeps your source resolution — a 24-bit source gives a 24-bit master — and the result page shows both.

Are the targets official Spotify or YouTube settings?

They follow current publicly available delivery guidance. They are not an official certification by any platform.

Can it fix a clipped or distorted mix?

No mastering can restore clipped audio. Beathex detects clipping and tells you, so you can re-export your mix with more headroom.
