Questions

Why is there no sound on WhatsApp?

WhatsApp and many phone apps only play AAC sound in a video. The default choice, “For WhatsApp, Instagram & phones”, stores your sound as AAC 320 kbps, so it plays everywhere. “Original quality” keeps an MP3 exactly as it is and a WAV lossless (as FLAC) — best for computers and YouTube, but WhatsApp plays those without sound.

Is my audio changed?

Nothing is mastered, normalised or remixed. With the default choice your sound is encoded as AAC 320 kbps, a high-quality format every app plays. With “Original quality” an MP3 is copied exactly as it is and a WAV is stored as FLAC, which plays back as exactly the same audio.

Is my artwork changed?

Only scaled to fit the size you choose. It is never stretched or cropped: the whole artwork stays visible, and any spare space is black.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The MP4 is created on your device. The first time, your browser loads the video engine from Beathex; your audio and artwork never leave your device.

How long does it take?

Usually one to a few minutes for a full song, depending on your device and the size you choose.
