Who is responsible

Rexon India (India) decides how your personal data is used on Beathex, and is the “Data Fiduciary” under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Questions and requests: support@beathex.com.

What we collect, and why

• When you contact us or order a service (WhatsApp, email, phone): your name, number or address, your messages, and any files you send — to answer you and deliver the order.
• If you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile photo, as Google shares them with your agreement. They are kept in a signed cookie in your own browser, and we never receive your Google password.
• If you buy Credits: your email address, what you bought, the amount, the currency, the date, and Razorpay’s order and payment references — to add your Credits, show your history, answer questions and keep the records the law requires. This is kept on our server for as long as your Credits are usable and then as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Technical data: like every website, our servers record your IP address, browser and the pages requested, to run the site securely. Some tools count requests per IP address for a short time to prevent abuse.
• In your browser only: your light/dark choice (bx-theme), songs you “liked” (bx-liked-songs) and recent searches (bx-recent-searches). These never leave your device.
• When accounts with a password open: your email, username, display name and password (stored as a secure hash), and your playlists and listening history.

Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. When you pay, you enter your card, UPI, bank or wallet details in Razorpay’s own checkout window; they go to Razorpay and your bank, under Razorpay’s privacy policy, and are never seen or stored by Beathex. We receive only whether the payment succeeded, its amount and its reference numbers.

What the tools do with your files

• Master your music, Audio + Artwork, Cut & Join and caption export work inside your browser. Your files are not uploaded to us.
• Caption Studio (automatic captions): only after you tick the permission box, the sound of your video (compressed, never the picture) is sent to a processing partner to produce the text. Neither we nor the partner keep it after the text is made.
• Stems: only after you agree, your song is sent to a processing partner, which keeps the song and stems for about an hour so you can download them.
• Background Music: when you start it, a few still pictures from your video and its measurements (length, scenes) are sent to processing partners to compose the music. Your video itself stays in your browser.
• HD Upscaler: your video is uploaded to our server and sent in parts to a processing partner; the finished video is kept for 3 hours so you can download it, and then deleted.
• Files sent for studio services are kept only as long as needed for the order and its revisions, and then deleted, unless you ask us to keep them.

Who else receives data

We do not sell personal data and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking services. Data reaches others only as needed to run the site:

• Our hosting provider (servers and logs), in India or abroad.
• Razorpay, when you pay, and your bank or card network.
• Google, when you choose to sign in with Google.
• YouTube, when you play a song: the player loads from youtube-nocookie.com, and YouTube may record the playback under its own privacy policy.
• Processing partners for the tools above, only when you start them. Some are based outside India; they may use your material only to do the job, not for their own purposes.
• WhatsApp (Meta) and our email provider, when you choose to contact us there.
• Authorities, if the law requires it.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct or update it, have it erased, withdraw consent you gave, and nominate someone to act for you. Write to support@beathex.com; we reply within 15 days. There is no self-service account deletion yet, so requests are handled by email. Records of payments may have to be kept for the period tax law requires, even after you ask for erasure. Signing out (in the account menu) removes the sign-in cookie from your browser at once; to stop Google sharing your details with Beathex, remove it from the third-party connections in your Google Account.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Beathex is for a general audience and is not designed for children under 18 to use on their own. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without a parent’s or guardian’s consent; if you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.

Security and storage

The site is served over HTTPS with modern security headers, secret keys stay on the server, every payment is checked with Razorpay before Credits are added, and access to data is limited to what is needed to run the service. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
